The Oregon Ducks completed a three game sweep of Global Sports Cage Classic with a 95-76 blitzing of Nicholls State Sunday afternoon at Matthew Knight Arena.
Tournament MVP Amanda Johnson again led the way for the Ducks, scoring 27 points and grabbing a dozen rebounds.
Senior forward Jasmin Holliday (19 pts, 9 rbd), shooting guard Danielle Love (14 pts, 6 rbd) and point guard Ariel Thomas (11 pts, 4 rbd), joined Johnson in reaching double figures while helping Oregon to a 50-38 advantage on the glass.
Oregon opened the three games in four days, round robin affair whipping Weber State 88-73 on Thanksgiving Day, then dispatched UC Irvine 89-77 on Friday.
The win improved Oregon to 6-0 on the season, their best start since the 2004-05 season. Senior forward Jasmin Holliday joined Johnson on the all tournament team.
Oregon travels to Fresno State before hosting Portland at Matthew Knight Arena at 2:00 on Sunday, November 4th.
